Why Make a Plan with Leonie Dawson

Are you the planning type or a go with the flow type?

It’s possible for a plan to give you more freedom.

Leonie talks about setting goals, seeing dreams, setting a vision of what you want to create, and working with the energy you have.

86% of people do not think about goals or do not set goals.

80% of people don’t think about their goals at all.

16% of people will think about their goals, but never write them down.

3% of people will write their goals down

Just 1% will actually think about those goals, write them down and regularly review them.

It’s that 1%, that tiny, tiny 1% that are among the most successful people in the world.

The closer you stay connected to the vision of what you want to create in your life, the faster it’s going to manifest for you and you’re going to keep pouring more and more energy into it.

That means your goals workbooks (however you document goals) shouldn’t be pristine. They should be dog-eared. They should feel very like well-loved companions who are the guiding light for your journey for the next year.

You don’t have to do it all in one sitting. In fact, making a plan takes time and thought. The week before New Years and the month of January are a wonderful time to make your plan for the next year.

Dream big. We only get one round at the rodeo and it’s so much more fun to be achieving your goals.

Leonie’s life and biz workbooks are an amazing way to write down those goals in a place you can keep coming back to them.

101 doable changes
Choose from the changes above or download a list of 101 Doable Changes we made for you.

3 doable actions:

  • Look at the past year. Look at what worked, and at what didn’t. Take time to look back and have gratitude and insight and clarity for what’s happened.
Understanding that is a huge piece of the puzzle to setting goals moving forward.
  • Make a hundred list. Make a list of 100 things you want to do in your business and in your life. It can be really hard coming up with a hundred things, which means you stretch in all different directions. It’s a really exciting list to tick off.
  • Give yourself a deadline. You don’t have to complete your planning workbook in one sitting. Take time to do the year in review. Take time to think about the questions and dream. But give yourself a deadline. Then choose what works for you—setting aside a little time each day or doing a sprint to finish it up. But finish it … and check back regularly throughout the year.
